We are family owned and operated since 1983, by Anthony and Josephine Leone, along with their sons, Raymond and Philip, who carry on the tradition of unsurpassed compassion, personal attention, and professional services. Leone Funeral Home is a full service family funeral home offering traditional services as well as personalized options with dedication and loyalty. From large formal services to smaller gatherings, our family stands ready to be of assistance to you and your family during your time of need. We are located in the historic Greenwood Heights Brooklyn, New York area.

Anthony and Josephine Leone Founders

Founders of Leone Funeral home in 1983. Anthony and Josephine are the proud parents of 8 children and 23 grandchildren. Sadly, we lost Anthony on June 2, 2006, but he is the cornerstone of our home and hearts.

Raymond J. Leone Licensed Funeral Director

Raymond obtained his New York State Funeral Director’s Licenses after attending American Academy McAllister Institute in 1983.  Raymond actively worked as a trade embalmer for several prominent funeral homes attending to all religious denominations. Raymond married his wife Kathleen in 1985 and together they have four daughters, Josephine, AnnaMarie, Kathleen Rae and Nicole.  He is also a member of the Brooklyn Caribe Lions Club “to help the less fortunate in our community and at the same time reaching out to help others around the world”. He is a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship. Raymond also supports PROSPER (Parent Representatives Organized to Secure Proper Education for the Retarded). He is also a member of the Brooklyn BPO Elks and the St. Anna Society, as well as other charity organizations. His wife Kathleen is a Licensed Registered Nurse since 1985. Her experience encompasses from bedside nursing, supervision, admissions to a long care facility, grief counseling  for care givers of families with Alzheimer’ s Disease to Quality Assurance within the local hospital. She is also an active member in PROSPER (St. Catherine Laboure) and in volunteering at St. Anselm School as well as coaching swimming for St. Anselm CYO Activities.

Philip V. Leone Licensed Funeral Director

Philip obtained his New York State Funeral Director’s Licenses after attending American Academy McAllister Institute in 1987. Philip married his wife Josephine in 1989 and together they have three daughters, Josephine, Carolina and Toni Marie. Philip is a member of the Knights of Columbus. "Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while enhancing your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your family life”; Brooklyn Caribe Lions Club. Philip also supports PROSPER (Parent Representatives Organized to Secure Proper Education for the Retarded) Brooklyn BPO Elks and the St. Anna Society and other charity organizations.  His wife Josephine is actively involved in the local school assisting with fund raising and the Home School Association of Our Lady of Grace School.
